This policy covers tinglegames.com and the online features of Bottom Busters on itch.io.
The leaderboard
You can sign in with your itch.io account in the game. If you do, when you finish a run the game sends us your score, the game mode, the level or wave you reached, how long the run lasted, whether you won, the game version and an itch.io sign-in key.
- We use the key once, to ask itch.io who you are: your itch.io user ID and display name. We don't keep the key.
- We store your itch.io user ID and display name with your score.
- Your display name is shown publicly on the leaderboard at tinglegames.com/bottom-busters/leaderboard.
If you don't sign in, the game sends us nothing.
Clip pages
When a run makes a top 3 on the leaderboard, the game records a short gameplay video of that run on your computer and uploads it. You can skip this.
- Each clip gets a public page at tinglegames.com/c/... that anyone can watch and share.
- Clip pages show no player names.
- Clip pages stay up even after the run leaves the top 3.
Ratings and cookies
Anyone can rate a clip with 1 to 5 pairs of underwear, without an account. To allow one rating per browser, we
store a random ID in a cookie named bbv. It isn't linked to who you are.
Clip pages and the Tingle Solitaire page use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that ratings and signups come from real people. Turnstile is covered by Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
The Tingle Solitaire launch list
If you sign up on the Tingle Solitaire page, we store your email address, the time you signed up and the page you signed up on.
- We use your address for one thing: one email when the game is released.
- To send that email, we'll use an email delivery service, which will receive your address for that purpose.
- We keep your address until that email has gone out or you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first.
Hosting
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver and protect the site.
What stays on your computer
The game keeps your itch.io sign-in on your computer so you don't have to sign in every time. Your replays, stats and settings stay on your computer too.
What we don't do
We don't sell personal information, we don't show ads, and we don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
Keeping and removing your information
We keep leaderboard entries and clip pages until they are removed. Email ops@tinglegames.com to ask what we have about you, or to remove your leaderboard entries, a clip page of your run or your launch list signup.
Children
The leaderboard, clips and launch list aren't meant for children under 13, and itch.io accounts require users to be at least 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
