Bottom Busters is couch co-op. Parsec puts your friend on your couch from anywhere: your PC runs the game, they watch it streamed and play Player 2 with their own controller. Parsec is free for personal use.

Setup

You both need

  • A free Parsec account: sign up.
  • The host: a Windows 10 or newer PC with Bottom Busters.
  • The guest: the Parsec app on Windows, Mac, Linux or Android, or Chrome or Edge, and a controller.

Host

  1. Install Parsec and sign in.
  2. Click Share and send your friend the link.
  3. Accept them when they join (or press Ctrl+F1).
  4. Start Bottom Busters, pick a mode and choose 2P.

Guest

  1. Install Parsec and sign in.
  2. Paste your friend's link into Parsec.
  3. Plug in a controller and press any button on it. You're Player 2.
Good to know
  • The guest needs a controller: Parsec turns every keyboard into one, so a guest's keys would move Player 1.
  • Host on the keyboard? Press any key in Character Select. With one controller connected, Bottom Busters makes it Player 2's.
  • Guests can only use their controller unless you give them more. Parsec's Approved Apps setting keeps them to the game, and Ctrl+F3 kicks everyone.
  • A wired internet connection on both ends keeps the flapping smooth.
